Accessibility Statement

We strive to follow the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, to help ensure our web content is accessible and usable for all visitors. This is the standard referenced by Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act for state and local government web content.

We continuously work to improve the accessibility of our websites and content. While we aim to make all pages and files accessible, some content may not yet fully meet accessibility standards.

Our current work includes rebuilding district and school pages to meet accessibility standards, adding text alternatives for images and media, improving keyboard and screen reader support, and remediating documents such as PDFs. Accessibility is reviewed as part of how we build and publish new content, not only as a correction after the fact.

We want to be transparent about areas where content may not yet be fully accessible:

• Some older documents, particularly PDFs, are still being remediated. If you need one of these in an accessible or alternative format, please contact us and we will provide it.
• Some archived content and older media may not include captions, transcripts, or text alternatives.
• Content that is not maintained by the district — see Third-Party Content and Services below.

Our websites link to and embed services that are operated by other organizations, including systems used for enrollment, student information, employment applications, digital flyers, translation, and similar functions. We do not control the accessibility of these external services, but we work with our vendors to encourage accessible practices.

If you encounter a barrier on one of these services, please contact us anyway. Where an external service is used to carry out district business, we remain responsible for making that program, service, or activity available to you. We will help you get the information or complete the task another way, and we will raise the issue with the vendor.

We will acknowledge your message within 5 business days. We will tell you what we found, what we are able to do, and when you can expect it. If a fix will take longer than 5 business days, we will provide the content you requested in an alternative format while we work on it.
